CANNES, FRANCE (Top40 Charts/ IODA) - IODA, the global leader in digital distribution, marketing, and technology solutions for the independent music and film industry, today announced that labels Som Livre, Munich Records, Scorpio and the Caribbean Music Group have selected IODA to power digital distribution for their releases. These leading labels expand IODA's diverse catalog of music from independents in over 50 countries. Using its proven technology platform, IODA will bring this quality music to the virtual shelves of more than 400 digital retailers, mobile outlets and subscription services that make up IODA's global distribution network. The announcement was made at the MIDEM conference this week in Cannes, France where IODA's CEO, Kevin Arnold, will be speaking on Tuesday, January 20 at 3:30 pm on the panel 'How are indies positioned in today's digital landscape?' and on Wednesday, January 21 at 11:00 am on the panel "How to leverage the new distribution deals for artists and labels."

"These are extraordinarily high quality releases we are bringing into our global distribution network," commented Erik Gilbert, vice president, content for IODA. "Som Livre seals our presence as the leading digital distributor of Brazilian music while Munich and Scorpio significantly enhance our catalog from Europe. We are particularly excited about the unique Reggae and Caribbean artists that Caribbean Music Group brings to our roster with its growing fan base worldwide. These established and emerging artists will now be available to fans around the world."

"Our decision to choose IODA for digital distribution was made only after very careful consideration of many factors including strength and scalability of technology, global reach, and quality of client services," said Luciana Paiva, marketing and digital manager, Som Livre. "We are delighted with the IODA/Som Livre partnership and look forward to excellent results."

"Partnering with IODA is an important strategic step for us as it expands our reach to fans that we otherwise would not have access to," commented Sandy Herder, digital operations and neighboring rights manager, Munich Records. "The centerpiece of IODA's highly scalable platform is its Rightsholder Dashboard, which provides an easy-to-use system whereby our labels can track sales, edit metadata, and choose how content will be distributed and marketed. This was particularly attractive for us as we believe it will make our labels more productive, better informed and far more successful."

Som Livre is a Brazilian record label owned by Globo Group, the fourth largest media conglomerate in the world, with TV stations watched by more than 120 million people daily. Som Livre is one of the three largest record labels in the Brazilian market and was founded in 1969 to commercialize soap opera sound tracks. Som Livre soon expanded to record national Brazilian artists and bands, including Tim Maia, Rita Lee, Barao Vermelho, Cazuza, Xuxa, Marina Elali and others.
