CLEVELAND, OH. (Top40 Charts/ Reversed Image Unlimited) - Electro-rock band THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN! have tapped producer/engineer Sean Beavan, best known for his work with Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, to mix their debut album, 'Love Kills.' The CD is due out on the Reversed Image Unlimited label on May 5th of this year. Sean Beavan got his start at Cleveland's legendary Right Track Studio in the 80s, where he met then-janitor and handyman Trent Reznor, future creative force behind Nine Inch Nails. With an ear for the dark and dirty, Beavan mixed demos for what would eventually become Reznor's seminal Pretty Hate Machine, and later mixed NIN's best-selling recording The Downward Spiral. He has since produced and mixed music for shock-rocker Marilyn Manson, System of a Down, Unwritten Law, Slayer, No Doubt and Depeche Mode. For heavy synth outfit THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN!, a partnership with the seasoned Beavan seems a natural alliance. Formed from the lineups of area punk and metal bands Leo and Dozen Dead Roses, THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN! fuse industrial and electronic sensibilities with hard-throbbing, irresistibly danceable beats and lyrics not to be played for your mother. THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN! is currently in the studio finalizing tracks for 'Love Kills' at Ante Up Audio (anteupaudio.com) in Cleveland, Ohio. At the production helm is multi-platinum producer/engineer Michael Seifert, who is also co-founder of the band's label Reversed Image Unlimited LLC. Reversed Image Unlimited is scheduled to release 'Love Kills,' the full-length album from THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN!, on May 5th.
