LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Wireless 2009 Festival) - We're proud to announce that KANYE WEST will be coming to London Town this summer to play at WIRELESS 2009 - the biggest dance and hip-hop music festival in the capital. He'll be headlining on Sunday 5th July, with a host of other acts for the day to be announced soon.

In recent months Kanye has bagged himself a Brit award for Best International Male, released his forth album 808's & Heartbreak, and sold out shows at the O2 in London. His appearance at Wireless 2009 will be another huge highlight in the rapper's calendar, so much so that he's chosen the festival to be his only UK performance this year.

A catalogue of hits including Gold Digger, Through The Wire, Stronger, Diamonds From Sierra Leone and Heartless will make this show undoubtedly one of the finest performances seen in Hyde Park, and we'll be announcing a full supporting bill soon. After 2008's spectacular performance by Jay Z at Wireless, we reckon that Kanye West's appearance this year will firmly establish Hip-Hop's place in Hyde Park.

In addition to the exciting Kanye West announcement, we're really pleased to announce a new partnership with Barclaycard, who will be sponsoring this year's Wireless. With the live music industry stronger than ever, this is a fantastic opportunity for Barclaycard to bring great benefits and experiences to music fans - which is no bad thing.

Don't forget, the Saturday date of the festival is still on sale, with a stunning line-up that includes Basement Jaxx, Dizzee Rascal, The Streets, Paul Oakenfold and many more acts playing across four stages, with a variety of food stalls, beer gardens and fun games. It's gonna be a large one - we can't wait.
