AUBURN, AL. (Top40 Charts/ Great American Country) - Great American Country (GAC), known as America's Main Street for the widest variety of country music, its artists and the lifestyles they influence, today announced it has added Sticks Country
Music Festival to its spring/summer Fairs & Festivals Tour. The tour will feature several of the nation's biggest and best country music festivals.
According to GAC VP of Marketing, Scott Durand, "Sticks is a great fit for our Fairs & Festivals Tour. It has a great line up of artists and it's a festival that we feel will have great appeal to our viewers and that's why it was a natural addition to our tour."
"To be added to the GAC Tour is quite an honor considering we're an inaugural event," said David Adams, STICKS producer. "But from its inception, the grand design for STICKS was to be a major country music festival and we have the lineup of talent to support that claim."
Adams said that it would take more than having a top name media sponsor like GAC for STICKS to get to the top level.
"We needed to make sure that we provided great entertainment at a great value." Adams added, "Our line-up is top shelf and we have something for everyone. From the big names like Trace, Sarah, Gretchen and Rodney, to the 'old school acts' like Shenandoah, Diamond Rio and Mark Chesnutt, to the newer, younger acts like Julianne Hough, Jason Michael Carroll, Ashton Shepherd, Whiskey Falls and Granger Smith. Then you throw in Chuck Wicks and Craig Morgan and you've got two really great days and nights of entertainment."
One of the factors that led to GAC adding STICKS to the tour was STICKS' line-up of artists.
STICKS and GAC have also entered into a marketing partnership agreement that will keep the fans at STICKS entertained and informed throughout the event. "Let's just say that our video boards will be fired up with plenty of GAC programming before, between and even after the stars of STICKS are on-stage," said Adams.
STICKS has also been well received by the public for its value oriented approach to the show.
"Times are tough, we know that," added Adams. "That's why we kept the price of a two day ticket as low as possible, just $85. That comes out to only $6 per act."
STICKS is providing even more value to consumers by allowing them to bring in their own coolers to the show. Additionally, tent camping is free while RV sites are only $150 but are in limited quantity.
The overall value provided by STICKS was enough for Country Weekly Magazine Editor in Chief, Larry Holden to call STICKS, "One of the best concert values in America."
GAC couldn't agree more.
"It's festivals like STICKS that provide great value to our fans of country music by providing such great talent for a great price," said Durand.
STICKS location, in the heart of the South, puts it well within reach of country music fans throughout the region. Parker Hill is only minutes from Auburn/Opelika, a half hour from Columbus, Ga., 50 minutes from Montgomery, Ala., 90 minutes from Atlanta, and just over an hour from Birmingham, Ala. It's conveniently reached as it is just off Hwy 280 only minutes from I-85.
