Sarah Siskind has penned hits for
Alison Krauss and toured with Bon Iver. Next month this songwriter's songwriter stops to take centerstage with a solo tour previewing songs from her brilliant new album 'Say It Louder' (May 26, Red Request Records/Thirty Tigers). The tour includes dates opening for one of siskind' favorite musicians, Bill Frisell, a full band show in her hometown of Nashville, TN and a performance with the
Boston musical collective Subrosa.
'Say It Louder' features thirteen new songs all written by Siskind. It was recorded at the legendary Sound Emporium in Nashville and co-produced by Siskind and Jason Lehning (Lyle Lovett, Guster, Nickel Creek). Grammy-winning master musician Jerry Douglas guests on two tracks. Siskind has been hailed as "utterly captivating" by Performing Songwriter, and "prodigiously talented with elegant, deeply felt songs," by Paste Magazine.
