London, UK. (Top40 Charts/ 1Click2Fame) - Singing sensation Lucie Evans is set for stardom after winning Britain's biggest Internet talent competition 1Click2Fame and the 100,000 top prize.

In emotional scenes Lucie, aged 15, from Warrington was congratulated by chart topping girl band The Saturdays last night (Wed April1) at a glittering winners' party in London.

Votes from the army of fans she had gained through the three-month-long competition had won her the 1Click2Fame title and the chance to make her showbusiness dreams come true.

Lucie said: 'It's been a fantastic experience and I'd like to thank everyone who supported me in the competition. It has taught me that what I want in life doesn't come easy and that I can't sit back and wait for it to happen.

'It takes hard work and determination to succeed. Now I can't wait to get going and progress my career. It's a brilliant opportunity that gives acts a wonderful chance to get noticed.'

1Click2Fame.com has taken the internet by storm since its official launch at the end of December. In just three short months it has been visited by 250,000 people who have voted for acts on the website.

Lucy was supported at the London final by school-mate and close friend George Sampson who won last year's Britain's Got Talent

He said: 'It was Lucie who encouraged me to start dancing and I've been backing her all the way in this contest. She has a great voice and it's great to see her do so well. It would be wonderful if we could do something together.'

Jonathan Lakin, chief executive of Enrich Social Productions, the company behind founder of 1Click2Fame, said: 'This is only the beginning for Lucie. The prize will help her further her dreams and we will be behind her all the way.'

'There have been no losers here. The runners up have been able to showcase their talents in a way that has previously not been available to them.'

Four of the 1Click2Fame top ten finalists, Lucie, Tom, the Boxettes and Rik have already been approached by managers and record companies, as a result of their exposure in the competition.

The Saturdays said: 'What a fantastic opportunity this has been. We wish 1Click2Fame had been around when we started out. It can be a real struggle to get noticed. This contest has been really exciting for everyone, performers and voters alike.'

As well as offering performers the chance to win the 100,000 top prize of cash and sponsorship, promising acts have pushed themselves into the spotlight and won thousands of new fans after downloading videos of their performances onto the 1Click2Fame.com website.

1Click2Fame, which is sponsored by Tesco Digital, is at the forefront of a new social phenomena where ideas that can start on the web are extending into mobile and TV and where internet users directly interact with what they are watching.

1Click2Fame.com is launching a new monthly talent competitions beginning today (Thursday April 2nd). Contestants can enter for free in one of three categories music, dance, variety, including comedy and street performers and visitors to the website can also vote for free.

The first three weeks of the competition will be an audition round where there will be prizes for performers receiving the highest ratings each week in each category. The finals take place in the last week of every month with three from each category going through and a further three being chosen as wildcard entries by professional coaches which are being introduced to the competition. The coaches will provide feedback and guidance to acts.

The other nine finalists were:
Singer Tom Andrews from Exeter
Comedian Jonston Pickle from Hull
Singer/songwriter Rick C from London
Electro pop band Rik from Essex
Band Love Revue from London
Beat box quintet Bellatrix and the Boxettes from London
Comedian Daveyboyz (Dave Barr) from London
