Widespread Panic gives fans a spring treat with 3 night runs at fan favorite venues, House of Blues in Orlando FL, April 13, 14, 15 and The Warf in
Orange Beach, AL, April 17, 18, 19. Local food banks will be on hand at both venues to collect can goods and The House that
Widespread Panic Fans Built will be autographed raffling items for the Make It Right Nola foundation.
In July, the band hits the festival circuit headlining 2 nights at 3 major festivals. This will be the bands first appearances at the Forecastle Festival in Louisville, KY; their only 2009 Colorado date at the Mile High Music Festival in Denver, CO and their 3rd appearance at the 10,000 Lakes Festival in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
Widespread Panic is very honored to announce they will start off fall tour sharing the stage with The Allman Brothers Band on their 40th Anniversary Celebration Tour. Although both bands have played at the same festivals, this will be their first extensive joint tour outing.
The two bands will join forces beginning August 21 in Camden, NJ. And spend the end of summer touring the east coast with stops in Canandaigua, NY and Gilford, NH before performing at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY August 27. A stop in Mansfield, MA and Hartford, CT will follow before back-to-back shows at the Charter One Pavilion in Chicago close out this leg of the trek. With only a month to rest, the ABB and Panic do it again with two shows at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte, NC to kick off a southern run taking them through Virginia, Raleigh, NC, Knoxville and Nashville, TN before two final shows in the Lone Star State October 16 at the Superpages.com Center in Dallas and October 17 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston. On each leg of the tour both bands have the honor of performing in the closing position.
And living up the Road Warrior title bestowed upon them by Billboard magazine at the 2008 annual awards show, Widespread Panic will add additional solo dates to the fall schedule.
