New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - As part of their extensive European tour, Bell X1 are set to open for U2 in Dublin, Ireland on July 27 at the 83,000-capacity Croke Park. The concert marks the first time that Bell X1 will share a bill their fellow Irishmen, coincidentally also named after a secret American military airplane.

In other news, Bell X1's "Light Catches Your Face" from their acclaimed new album 'Blue Lights on the Runway' (Yep Roc Records) will be featured on the new Starbucks compilation 'Have You Heard? Spring '09,' which will be sold at over 7,000 Starbucks stores in North America and via iTunes on April 28.

'Blue Lights on the Runway' debuted at No 1 in Ireland and Bell X1 performed on the Late Show with David Letterman (CBS) on March 17. They also spoke recently with Scott Simon on NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday.
