U.A.E. (Top40 Charts/ Varese Sarabande) - The US release of the latest installment in the X-Men series, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is slated for May 1, 2009. The international release dates stand the same for most areas save a few and privileged to be among the latter is the Middle East. X-Men fans in the Middle East could not be any happier or more excited about this early release.

The X-Men Origins: Wolverine film is the fourth installment in the acclaimed X-Men movie series and is expected to rake in $70 million to $102 million domestically in the US. X-Men fans who have watched the earlier three films in the series: X-Men (2000), X-Men: United (2003) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) are avidly looking forward to the next film in the series.

Where the previous three films dealt with the trials and tribulations faced by a band of mutants led by the telepathically-gifted Professor X, the fourth film focuses on the troubled Wolverine character.

Ferocious but kind-hearted Wolverine is a favorite among X-Men fans and is a good choice for what looks like a possible start to similar films made on individual X-Men characters. Even if 20th Century Fox decides to revert to the original comprehensive X-Men stories in future installments, fans are far from complaining about this one.

Riyaaz, an enthusiastic collector of the X-Men Marvel Comics has already booked tickets for the movie at the theatre closest to his home in Kuwait and wishes he could attend the X-Men Movie Marathon being held in Dubai. He says, If the distance was not that great, I would have gladly attended it. Why? Just to meet other X-Men fans and exchange X-Men memorabilia and comics!

About X-Men Origins: Wolverine: The fourth X-men movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine will release in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, Jordan and Lebanon in the Middle East on April 30, 2009. The movie is essentially a prequel to the earlier released movies and focuses on tracing the life of the mysterious Logan aka Wolverine, before he lost all his memories. The action-packed film will be playing at all major movie theatres in the countries mentioned above.
