SANTA MONICA, CA. (Top40 Charts/ 429 Records) - Alternative rock icons Cracker are back in a big way with a new album, single and record label! Cracker, newly signed to 429 Records, are ready for the release of their new CD, SUNRISE IN THE LAND OF MILK AND HONEY which will be available May 5th online and in retail outlets. They're already off to a smashing start as the first single, "Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out With Me" debuted this week at No 37 on FMQB's Public Breakout Chart - the highest debut of their career! Long-time Cracker cohorts David Lowery and Johnny Hickman have teamed up again with drummer Frank Funaro and bassist Sal Maida and along with stellar producer David Barbe (Drive By Truckers) and the help of guests Adam Duritz, Patterson Hood and John Doe, creating a uniquely eclectic trove of new tunes.

Well-worn words used to describe the Cracker sound - brash, irreverent, sharp-witted, anthemic and riveting - all descriptives are in full-effect on SUNRISE IN THE LAND OF MILK AND HONEY. The album bursts with Cracker's trademark rock, punk, glam, surf and country aesthetic. Says Lowery: "We weren't kicking back on an island in the Caribbean, waiting for the muse to hit us. We got down to work, found the punk and glam rock in our blood and woke up to Sunrise In The Land Of Milk And Honey."
