COACHELLA, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Spotlight 29 Casino) - With a string of ten Top 10 hits and four No. 1 singles, Staind is one of the biggest rock bands of the new millennium, and now, Spotlight 29 Casino is proud to welcome Staind to open the casino's 3rd annual "Summer of Fun." Staind will be in concert in the casino's Spotlight Showroom on May 23. Joining Staind is special guest Hoobastank.

Tickets for Staind and Hoobastank are on sale now and are $65 and $55. For tickets, visit Spotlight29.com, the Spotlight 29 Casino Gift Shop or call (800) 585-3737. Show time is 8 p.m. Must be at least 18 to attend; 18 to 20 year-olds must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older.

Staind is touring with a new album and a new single. "The Illusion Of Progress" is the band's sixth studio album since the release of their major label debut less than a decade ago. The new album is full of Staind "firsts": It's the first album where guitarist Mike Mushok solos, as well as the first where he wrote and recorded on a standard guitar, rather than his customary baritone. Despite the band's ten Top 10 hits- including four No. 1 singles - it's the first time they have recorded a song they feel can be classified as a pop song, and it is the first time that frontman Aaron Lewis has taken a political stance lyrically. On that same lyrical front, Mushok points out, with a laugh, "Consciously, I don't think Aaron says the word 'pain' once throughout the record!"

In the band's new single, "All I Want," Staind's future shines brighter than any hit single in their catalog. "It was completely unintentional, but we wrote our first pop song," grins Mushok of the track, which soars on the wings of Mushok's engaging guitar melodies, Lewis' rich, heartfelt vocals, and band's harmonious spirit. There's not another song on the album like it, and not another song in the band's bevy of hits that comes close to its infectious catch and release.

Staind has achieved tremendous success with songs that have rocked the airways including, "It's Been Awhile," "Fade," "For You" and "Ephipany." Perhaps best known for their landmark hit "The Reason," Hoobstank is touring promoting their newest single, "So Close So Far."
