NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ JIVE Label Group) - 19 Recordings/Jive Records artist Jordin Sparks is confirmed to release her as-yet-untitled sophomore effort this summer. The 2007 American Idol winner will premiere her new song from the album, "Battlefield" on American Idol on May 13th. "Battlefield" is co-written and co-produced by OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, Sam Watters, Louis Biancaniello & Wayne Wilkins for The Runaways (Keri Hilson, Natasha Bedingfield). Fans will be able to purchase the song exclusively on iTunes beginning today and via all other outlets May 19th.

Post-Idol, Jordin's star has continued to rise; she's received rave album and concert reviews and has established herself in her own right. The 20-year old's self-titled platinum 2007 album debut spawned three Top 5 hits on the Pop Singles charts including "Tattoo," the Grammy-nominated "No Air" and "One Step At A Time."

Jordin Sparks along with Honor Society are confirmed special guests on the North American leg of the 52-date "The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009" which kicks off in Dallas on June 20th.
