Mobile Fanteraction Platform is now in public beta.
Fanteraction is a free service that enables bands to create customizable band profiles optimized for smart-phones. Fans can connect to these profiles via short URLs and have access to the band's exclusive content such as lyrics, band bio, insider information and other content at any time.
Bands can hand out their Fanteraction URLs before, during and after the gig by putting it on gig flyers/posters, and by promoting the URL when on stage. In addition, Fanteraction allows fans to interact with bands by sending them messages, asking them for free songs, asking to be signed up to the band's newsletter etc.
By allowing fans to interact with bands 'on the fly' with their mobile phones, Gigdoggy hopes to enrich the live gig experience. For instance fans could read the bio and info of an opening-act before the show while having a drink at the bar, and send that band a message after the show in the cab on their way home to congratulate them for putting on a great set.

'Access to music and band content has dramatically increased these past years, and smart-phone sales are gaining a lot of momentum. Combining both worlds seems like a logical solution' says founder and CEO Gregory Whiteside. 'And besides, how cool would it be to have access to exclusive content of your favorite bands while attending their shows, or sing along to the lyrics of your favorite tune while they're performing? And lets not forget the many shows we have all been to where we didn't know who that great opening act was. It is not that we couldn't check up on that band after the show, it's rather that we won't think about it once we are home.'
Fanteraction is meant to resolve such issues by allowing us to immediately react with our phones and establish a closer relationship with the bands.
