NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ PFA Media) - This week, Ace Marketing & Promotions Inc (AMKT) announced that
Def Leppard fans all over the country will likely lock their doors, grab their favorite hair brushes (a clenched fist will do), line up their video camera, iPhone or webcam, crank up their stereos to one of the group's massive hits and rock out. Then they'll upload their video on YouTube and wait for the call to be part of the biggest concert tour of the summer,
Def Leppard with
Poison and special guest Cheap Trick.
Starting today (May 29th), fans are asked to go to Def Leppard's contest page at www.defleppard.com/contest to upload their video entries, which will be accepted through Wednesday, June 17th. Ten winners will then be chosen by the band, and notified, on Friday, June 19th. The winners will receive two tickets and backstage tour to meet members of the band. Whether "Pour Some Sugar On Me," "Photograph," "Lets Get Rocked," "Foolin'" or "Bringing On The Heartbreak," doesn't matter. All entries will be judged.
Pour Some Sugar On Me
Def Leppard is currently slated to perform at the CMT Awards on June 16th after which, on June 23rd, they will launch their 40-city North American tour and release special deluxe editions of their groundbreaking albums Adrenalize and Pyromania. Tickets for all shows are available at www.livenation.com.
The tour promises an unprecedented night for those in attendance. The show will highlight three decades of music from three of rock 'n' roll's greatest bands, including Poison and Cheap Trick, for a four-hour interactive concert experience that will begin the moment that the doors open.
Def Leppard (Joe Elliott - vocals, Vivian Campbell - guitar, Phil Collen - guitar, Rick "Sav" Savage -bass and Rick Allen - drums) sits at the top of an iconic class of rock 'n' roll bands. In fact, they are one of a handful of select groups, including the likes of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Eagles, who have been awarded the R.I.A.A.'s prestigious Diamond Award more than once (Pyromania and Hysteria).
The band's most recent album Songs From The Sparkle Lounge debuted last year at No 5 on the Billboard Top 200; earning Def Leppard their highest-charting debut since their 1992 album Adrenalize.
