SAN JOSE, Calif. (Top40 Charts/
Pacifico INC) - San Jose Jazz today announced the launch of its website (jazzfest.sanjosejazz.org) for the upcoming 20th AT&T San Jose Jazz Festival. The new site details the exciting lineup of local and international artists and will feature a Spanish version; artists' bios and links; audio and video samples; online ticket purchasing; and a hotel booking engine - everything that music fans from all over the country need to plan their trip for the festival on August 7-9.
In addition to the website, fans can get regular updates through their favorite social networking sites - Facebook (www.facebook.com/sanjosejazz), Twitter (https://twitter.com/sanjosejazz) and MySpace (www.myspace.com/sanjosejazzfestival) - as well as through their cell phones via a new mobile site (m.sanjosejazz.org).
'The San Jose Jazz Festival has become a premier event for music lovers from around the world,' said Lucie Paye, Director of Marketing for San Jose Jazz. 'As part of our vision to bring people together and enrich the global community, this website and social network pages will give fans a taste for what's in store - new musicians, new musical genres, new art forms - and help vacationers plan their stay and experience the great hotels and restaurants in Downtown San Jose.'
The Jazz Festival brings over 1,000 musicians to San Jose and takes part in venues throughout the Downtown area. It will be comprised of nine stages as well as live music in restaurants, hotels, and in art galleries. Though rooted in jazz, the festival boasts fantastic musical diversity - blues, salsa, R&B, and more. It's a well-rounded family-friendly event, with special activities for kids, a youth stage, and tours of the San Jose Tech Museum of Innovation.
Affordability continues to be an important part of the festival. $15 per day, or $30 for the 3 days, makes it an affordable weekend destination accessible to all. San Jose hotels have also agreed to great discounts for festival attendees. Hotel nights start at $98 and are all within a block from the event. Admission is free for children 12 and under.
