Tucson AZ (Top40 Charts/ Relics of Rock Official Website) - The original classic rock group known as Relics of Rock announced today the release of their debut CD titled Will It Fly. Originally formed in 1975, the group returned to the studio in May of 2008 , and recently completed the compilation of tracks for the current project.
Fans and industry insiders have been eagerly anticipating the release, completed at Area 57 Studio, as an independent venture, by the founding members of the group. Those members are Tim Clark, Rand Gahart and Richard McDaniel, all natives of Tucson.

The Retro and Expressive sound of this project have been described as evocative of some of the groups major influences, such as; The Cars, Toto, Pink Floyd, Styx, Asia and Yes. They individually credit influences such as Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Robin Trower, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Chris Squire and Rick Wakeman.

Deciding long ago to forego the local performance path, the goal of the members has been to produce and publish the project as an independent studio venture, allowing them to retain artistic control of the material, and the interpretation of the message they wish to bring forth.

Tour promotions, video production, and various other activities are being considered for the very near future. The group is now in process of production for the next CD.
