New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Virtual Sheet
Music Inc.) - The advent of the
Internet has made downloading many kinds of files commonplace: audio files, video files, documents, photos, etc. Musicians and
Music lovers too have discovered the ease and convenience of downloading and instantly enjoying digital sheet music. Hundreds of
Internet sites offer sheet music for downloading, but only Virtual Sheet
Music provides both sheet music and Mp3 music accompaniment files in one package. This new concept introduces a new, fun way to learn and enjoy with "just one click".
Accompaniment recordings are not new in music teaching circles. Several publishers and record companies have marketed a program known as "Music Minus One" which combines sheet music with audio CD accompaniments. Unfortunately, most such recordings use amateur musicians, resulting in uneven dynamics and overly rigid tempos played either too fast or too slow. Also missing are metronome "clicks", "taps" or other audio markings to help in the practice effort. Finally, Music Minus One accompaniment recordings are usually orchestral, not realistic preparation for auditions and competitions where piano only accompaniment is often the norm.
Here they come: the new Virtual Sheet Music Mp3 music accompaniment files include the best known soloist repertoire for violin, cello, flute and all classical instruments, available in piano accompaniment versions with clear and concise audio metronome. Voice repertoire includes Christmas carols and other traditional tunes, offering a sort of easy "karaoke" for vocalists. And Virtual Sheet Music will soon also offer accompaniment files in duet, trio, quartet and entire ensemble versions, something really new and exclusive for musicians.
Virtual Sheet Music surveyed what musicians and music teachers really want and designed a practice program that includes three distinct accompaniment files in each package:
1. A clean full-speed version with two bars of only audio metronome before starting (to lead you to the right tempo);
2. A full-speed version with two bars of only audio metronome before starting (to lead you to the right tempo), then metronome with accented beats for the duration of the piece;
A special slower tempo (-20%) version with two bars of only audio metronome before starting (to lead you to the right tempo), then metronome with accented beats for the duration of the piece. (This one is recommended for practice purposes.)
Portability is one key advantage of Mp3 music accompaniment files. Instead of bulky CD disks and players, you can now practice and perform with any laptop or desktop computer, iPod, or Mp3 player.
