He has been really looking hard at Downtown Isis's camp and have consulted on the project from day 1. Dj's this tune is a must have be sure to download it free at Slickwax.com and also at Bustback.net. Downtown Isis was born Isis Harris in Harlem, NY and raised in the County of Kings a.k.a Brooklyn. She began her first steps into acting and music as a child when her father introduced her to a piano, but she didn't exactly become a player just an individual who loves all types of music. She worked briefly for Erykah Badu's label founder Kedar Massenburg as an assistant and eventually for Nas as tour manager. Right then and there while on tour in Los Angeles she realized this is where she wanted to be. She discovered her need to let the artist out and dabble into everything from acting, modeling, rap and also singing. After appearing in many feature videos, TV shows and movies she felt it was time and put together a recording studio in her own home and started recording her album. While recording the album Isis felt something was missing... a flavor...she came to the conclusion that a new hot producer would add that extra missing ingredient. Out the blue, she met Gary Williams CEO of Bustback.net and it was magic from that point on, they produced their first song together over the phone titled 'Downtown Strut'. She emailed the vocals to Gary and he then edited and synchronized them to a pre-produced track. They kept it moving through the same process and reproduced an underground Bustback release titled 'Female Pimps Stay Paid'. Eventually they got together and recorded '2 Sexy' and 'Downtown Strut (Remix)'. Isis wants to be diverse in her music categories to basically create fun, feel good, party and dance songs. She has as her lead single right now '2 Sexy'. She doesn't see her self as a diva singer nor as a traditional rapper, but just a person who hopes to go where her talent and ability allows her to go. And if that's through the stratosphere, she say everyone is invited there to have a a goodtime!
