"Powerhouse belter" (Los Angeles Times) Ledisi is giving fans an early taste of 'Turn Me Loose' (Verve Forecast), posting streams of two new songs from the album on her website every Monday leading up to the August 18 release. "I'm singing my tail off," Ledisi says of 'Turn Me Loose,' emphasizing that the album is a "reflection of me finally being free." Produced by Jimmy Jam Terry Lewis, Raphael Saadiq, Chief Xcel, Chucky Thompson, Ivan and Carvin, Lorenzo Johnson, Fyre Department, and 'Lost Found' producer Rex Rideout, the record showcases her newfound freedom with fourteen powerful tracks, including a cover of Buddy Miles' "Them Changes," which inspired the new record.
