AMSTERDAm, NETHERLANDS (Top40 Charts/ Heineken USA) - Amstel Light, a leading imported light beer from Amsterdam, today will launch Amsterdam Live - one of the summer's hottest music and entertainment concepts. Amsterdam Live is inspired by an authentic Amsterdam private nightclub that brings together a combination of artists for One Dam Good night. Each Amsterdam Live event will showcase Amstel Light's take on Amsterdam and will feature a series of unexpected performances that add a progressive twist to artistic expressions such as art, music and dance.
Musically, Amsterdam Live is combining today's hottest bands with high-energy DJs and pop-up break-dancing performances. The tour lineup includes Morningwood, Mr. Hudson, the band Shiny Toy Guns and The Bravery paired with DJ Clinton Sparks, DJ Steve Aoki, DJ Reach and DJ Eric Cubeechee.
Ad Hoc Art (AHA) - an art gallery of street art, pop surrealism, illustration, comic book, tattoo and print-making - will aid Amstel Light in commissioning local artists to display their work at each Amsterdam Live event. Select adult consumers will be invited to choose a work of art to be silkscreened onto a t-shirt for them to take home.
"Amsterdam Live will give adult consumers a taste of the spirit and energy of Amsterdam through the lens of Amstel Light," said Kheri Holland Tillman, vice president of marketing, Amstel Light. "Amstel's Amsterdam is all about enjoying One Dam Good Bier and having One Dam Good Time and we know adult consumers will experience both at Amsterdam Live!"
Amsterdam Live will kick off in Boston and roll into major cities across the U.S. throughout the summer. The Amstel Light Beer Bike will also be making stops at each city on the tour, surprising and entertaining local adult consumers prior to each Amsterdam Live event.
