LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Sony Music Entertainment UK) - The Manic Street Preachers would like to sincerely apologise to all their fans they were looking forward to seeing at the Nano Mugen Festival for their non-appearance at the concert.

Bassist Nicky Wire is ill with severe bacterial gastroenteritis and doctors have declared him unfit to fly.
The band are absolutely devastated as they love coming to Japan and were thoroughly looking forward to this show, but will do everything in their powers to try and return next year.

Guitarist James Dean Bradfield said 'We're absolutely gutted not to be coming, but it was absolutely impossible. At the best of times a Manic Street Preachers show without Nick wouldn't work but even more so in Japan.'
For information on a refund please visit the Nano-Mugen Festival site.
