Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - The Yonder Mountain String Band, whose 'Sepia-toned Americana... clean harmonies and breathtaking fretwork' (Metroland) have wowed fans and critics across the country this summer, will extend their tour this fall with sixteen dates in October, including gigs in Washington DC, New York, Boston, and Chicago.

They'll be performing music from their new studio album 'The Show,' a rollicking 13-song showcase for their unique rock-inflected style of modern bluegrass, to be released Sept. 1 on Frog Pad Records.

Longtime friend and collaborator Danny Barnes will support on all October shows and will also release a new album October 13. Republic of Strings fiddler Darol Anger will sit in with the band in Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago.

See below for recent raves for their live dates and a full list of tour stops this fall.

'The trophy for best musical set goes to Yonder Mountain String Band who, as the sun began to set, left it all on the stage for an hour and a half. The pickers from Colorado had the audience dancing and shaking, kicking up a joyful storm of dust into the cool summer sky.'- Jarrett Bellini, CNN Showbiz Tonight (All Good Music Festival review)

'A hootenanny that rocks like crazy; The quartet pull off the melding of diverse musical styles into its own unique sound.'- Times-News (Leighton, PA)

'An evening of inspired music, a deeply musical blend that married rather astounding musicianship to the welcoming tones of R&B and Country.'
- Buffalo News (Buffalo, NY)

'Sepia-toned Americana, replete with miners, outlaws, and drifters, is a genre that many acts have re-inhabited in recent years, but YMSB use the genre as a springboard for their clean harmonies and breathtaking fretwork.'
- Metroland (Albany, NY)
