This may be true for most of the bear species, but not for THE PANDA BAND.

Although THE PANDA BAND hasn't been in the public eye for the last year and a half since returning from the USA, they have been working hard on songwriting for the new album. Demos from these sessions have created quite a stir amongst industry all over the world, and with producers such as Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips/MGMT) in talks with the band, it's not hard to see why people are so eager to hear tracks from their recent recording sessions, and with thought provoking tracks like >> FURIIOUS << (a new track taken from current album recording sessions), people just don't know what to expect next from THE PANDA BAND......(the band is currently recording and the next album is due out early next year).

The track FURIIOUS will be released in conjunction with Western Australia's > 'Curtin University of Technology's - The Box Project', a project which is aimed at helping students cope with the unique pressures of Year 12. The Box - is a USB flash drive that provides students with access to a personalised online portal and resources designed to make their lives easier. Information provided through The Box includes study tips, stress management, MUSIC and tips on how to lead healthy, active and safe social lives. Over 100 schools have already signed up to be part of this project, and THE PANDA BAND is extremely happy to be involved. The themes behind the track FURIIOUS are similar to the anger/frustration issues teens face these days, as the lives of high school students are full of pressure, confusion and change. They are faced with a number of choices and options and are not sure where to start.

FIRST AUSTRALIAN EAST COAST SHOW IN 2 YEARS / THE VALLEY FIESTA>>
With all the excitement surrounding the album, THE PANDA BAND are happy to announce their first East Coast show in over 2 years, returning to Brisbane (Queensland, Aus) to play at the VALLEY FIESTA on Saturday the 24th of October alongside acts such as, C.W. STONEKING, BERTIE BLACKMAN and THE MESS HALL. This is set to be a huge show with an awesome line-up.
