New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Dfactor) - Scrappy DIY garage rocker Dfactor has unveiled two new songs from his upcoming CD 'Slashing the Sunlight'.
He's also shot, mixed, edited and uploaded a video to YouTube for the single 'Shake It'.
For the next six weeks, Dfactor is releasing two new songs from his upcoming CD 'Slashing the Sunlight' a week to stream or download. This week's songs (tracks 3 and 4 on the CD) are 'Online World' and 'Head for the Hills'. (The full CD is also ready for fast and easy download.)
'Online World' is Dfactor's take on Twitter culture and the goings on inside the loop. Short, sharp and to the point, the song wastes no time in grabbing your attention with melody, hooks and grit. In 'Head for the Hills', Dfactor covers more varied thematic territory than ever before. This slice-of-life recessionary tale hits home on 'Head for the Hills'.
Dfactor writes on his site that "'Head for the Hills' is part news reportage, part Western mythology, part personal disappointment and part gaggle and dust. All set to a rollicking beat.' But he adds "Phoenix area has taken it on the chin in this recession," Dfactor says, "and it hurt to see closing signs, job losses and more over the last year I've been here." Some might say the knock-out chorus kicks the song into classic rock land. And they may be right.
It's rock n' roll, served up without pretense and done up fresh indie style. Slash the Sunlight!
