Radiohead have announced a 19-date North American tour, kicking off on August 13 outside of Boston, with support from Stephen Malkmus. The first leg of the
Radiohead US tour will take place Aug 13-31 and most dates will go on sale this Saturday Jun 21. The second leg of the tour will start Sep 23 and go until Oct 6, with support from
Supergrass - an onsale date for those shows will be announced later.
Also check out MTV2 tomorrow (6/17) at 9pm EST when the channel will debut Radiohead's June 5 performance at New York's Beacon Theater.
Jonny Greenwood explains why the tour mostly comprises of outdoor venues. He said that "Radiohead just poked around and tried to remember which of the sheds we've liked, " adding, "We're picking and choosing."
Before the North American tour, the band will play festivals across Europe, including Glastonbury Festival (UK) on June 28.
