New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ One-Off Records) - At the turn of the millennium, pop punk couldn't have been in a stronger position; artists like Blink-182 and Bowling For Soup were invading the charts and selling out arenas. But as bands grew up and moved on, the divisive emo genre took a hold of the mainstream and fun-loving bands that were at the forefront had to take a back seat to their more emotionally in-touch counterparts. Fast forward just a few years and the musical landscape looked familiar, but at the same time very different indeed.

In the small town of Newton - le - Willows, England, however, the spirit of enormously enjoyable uplifting pop punk was just lying dormant in a 3 piece to become known as Krazy 88.

Alex (vocals, bass), Jay (vocals, guitar) and Lewis (drums) have spent the last 3 years immersing themselves in all the genre's best elements in an attempt to put out records that capture what it's like to be young, free and creative in 2009. 'Stealing Is Flattery' is the band's debut release.

Taken from the forthcoming album 'Diary of A Teenage Heartthrob', 'Stealing Is Flattery' draws favourable comparison to scene stalwarts Simple Plan while encompassing the accessibility of current chart stormers All American Rejects. Staying true to their heritage for the most part, the band do explore the use of a vocoder (on the brand new MySpace demo 'When I'm With You') but thankfully steer well clear of anything even resembling the, universally agreed as being dodgy, genre of emo / crunk.

Krazy 88 - Here to restore your faith in what, deep down, remains a fun and exciting genre to be a part of.
