New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Vivendi Universal) - On February 7th 2000, the Hip-Hop community lost one of its legends, a Puerto Rican-American rapper Big Pun at age twenty-eight due to a fatal heart attack. Director Vlad Yudin and his Vladar Company have teamed up with producer Edwin Mejia, Vivendi Universal and Czar Productions to bring us a new documentary on the first ever Latin-American rapper to receive a platinum plaque, Big Pun. By telling the tale of world renown and internationally respected artist Big Pun, director Vlad Yudin brings us the exclusive real-life look at one artist who changed the hip-hop community and rap game forever.

With the release of 'Big Pun: The Legacy' on September 15th 2009, Vlad Yudin has brought us a documentary which celebrates the life and times of the-larger-than-life emcee, featuring multiple exclusive interviews with artists, close friends, actors and others who had the opportunity to know Big Pun and have had their lives touched by his soul. Also included is exclusive rare performance footage and interviews with Big Pun himself.

By preparing such a documentary for over two years, director Vlad Yudin has taken the appropriate amount of time to put together what should go down as a Hip-Hop documentary masterpiece. By addressing Big Pun's issues, from his addiction to food, childhood, his career and to his death, friends and legendary artists are brought together as they voice their opinions and views on Big Pun. This documentary brings everything a Big Pun fan could ask for to the table, and then some.

With all the anticipation for this release, Vlad Yudin and Vivendi Universal have put together a polished documentary on the life of Christopher Rios, the Bronx MC with a machine gun-like flow, Big Pun. An admitted Big Pun fan himself, Yudin handles the documentary with nothing but class and a goal to bring the truth to the big screen. 'Big Pun: The Legacy' finally delivers the media attention and respect that Big Pun has been overdue to deserve.

By taking a closer look, Yudin doesn't ignore the often forgotten facts regarding Big Pun - how he made his first album, how he received his first record deal, how he got signed in the first place, who were the people closest to him, who helped him to achieve what he did and what he was like after he finally tasted success. By covering so many different aspects, Yudin goes much deeper than the regular Big Pun media mentions that so often only include his race and size.

By working with Big Pun's widow Liza Rios, 'Big Pun: The Legacy' was able to uncover many never-before-seen footage and music that goes to a level which is above and beyond what many and most would expect, or even what audiences are used to seeing today with such documentaries. Large thumbs up goes to Mr. Yudin for such a move, making everything included in this documentary completely authorized by the estate.

The ultimate achievement Yudin has come across was by fully acknowledging the rapper's acceptance in the underground, streets and mainstream avenues - a feat which was reached by interviewing a wide variety of people covering all three of the mentioned aspects. By including footage that goes from before the record deal leading all the way up until his death, 'Big Pun: The Legacy' does a fantastic job of covering the entire story of Christopher Rios.

With a running time that exceeds 90 minutes in length, all fans and respected audiences are in for a real treat. Finally, we have the documentary that the Hip-Hop community has so longed for and wanted to see done appropriately, and we have director Vlad Yudin and his respected team to thank.
