LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Luck Media & Marketing) - Emerging alternative neo-soul songstress Kaylah Marin (www.kaylahmarin.com) soars into the top ten on FMQB's Adult Contemporary Top 100 chart this week with her single 'Green Caddie,' snagging the No 8 spot. The popular track off her debut album Loving Life is surrounded on the chart by notable artists such as Rob Thomas,
Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift, Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz,
Kings of Leon and Pink.
Following the success of Marin's debut album release event at The Mint L.A. this summer - which caught the attention of key industry players - the powerful singer is packing her bags this fall to share her powerful vocals with audiences in major cities including Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Ann Arbor. She will also take part in the National College Resources Foundation's Black College Expo events in the music-loving areas of New York City and Washington, DC/Maryland.
Kaylah was recently nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) for the R&B/Soul category for her hit 'Green Caddie.' The HMMA (www.hmmawards.com) will take place Thursday, November 19, at The Highlands in the Kodak Theatre complex in Hollywood. The red carpet event will feature live performances of today's top indie artists from around the world, an award ceremony, plus a catered VIP reception by renowned chef Wolfgang Puck.
Her music blitz continues with an appearance on FOX's popular online show Strategy Room on October 23 at 4 p.m. ET for a live performance and as a guest panelist to discuss the latest topics concerning the music industry.
Marin continues to make noise, recently collaborating with Billboard's top-tier DJs, The Perry Twins (Kristine W, Expose's Gioia Bruno, and Erin Hamilton), to create thumping house remixes of her track 'On The Floor,' with additional mixes from Josh Harris (The Killers, JoJo, Madonna, and Seal) Rod Carrillo (Rihanna, Kaci Battaglia) and Tracy Young (Madonna, Stevie Nicks, Christina Aguilera, and Britney Spears) for the club and dance airwaves. Marin will debut her 'On the Floor' dance mix with a live performance at Splash Bar during Campus Thursday in NYC on October 22.
