White Stripes on the silver screen

NEW YORK (White Stripes Fans Website) - The White Stripes, Iggy Pop, and Tom Waits will all be teaming up for an all-star film project directed by New York's indie film-maker Jim Jarmusch to be called "Coffee and Cigarettes".

Meg and Jack White will play themselves in the film. Jack's acting debut, the Civil War drama "Cold Mountain", is also due for release. Tom Waits has collaborated often with director Jim Jarmusch.
Other musicians who have worked with the film-maker include Joe Strummer, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, and RZA of the Wu Tang Clan.
