The "Are You Happy Now" singer writes in her official website, michellebranch.com, "Thank you to everyone who bought the album. It's absolutely unreal to know the album debuted at Number Two! I hope you all enjoy it."
Hotel Paper sold more than 150,000 copies its first week out. The album sold another 84,000 units this past week.

Michelle Branch also detailed what life has been like on the road for her as the opening act for the Dixie Chicks. "I am having the most fun I ever have had on the road. The shows are going really well and the band keeps getting better and better," she said, adding, "I hope you all have a chance to see the show someday soon."
