New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Rhythms Of New York) - 10-year year old Philippine-American (Fil-Am) rising star Nina Sophia Waga Mojares recently taped an episode of 'The Rhythms of New York' - the television series that examines the unique musical scene that helps make NYC the 'Media Capital' of the world. The episode featuring Nina will be aired frequently during the upcoming months. The exact airdates will be announced on 'The Rhythms of New York' website (The show can also be viewed in its entirety on the Rhythms website and MySpace page.)

"The Rhythms of New York" showcases artists and bands ranging from beginners to highly seasoned professionals from a vast array of cultures. This diverse program is produced and hosted by respected entertainment industry veteran, Dave Brodsky, and co-hosted by actress Celinez Bosque. Dave doggedly scours the The Big Apple for artists and bands that help to make up its musical heritage and then showcase their performances on "The Rhythms of New York". These performances are recorded live and be combined with interviews of the artists. The interviews will enable the viewer to share the dreams, ego, and indecision that are a part of being a musician in the fishbowl that is New York.

"The Rhythms of New York" regularly features New York-based artists that perform their original music live in the studio. However, an exception was made this one time only by Dave to allow Nina to perform cover songs on Rhythms in order to showcase and introduce her extraordinary vocal skills and vibrant personality to the World! Dave, who is active in the Fil-Am community in New York City, first "discovered" Nina at the Philippine Independence Day Parade/Street Fair/Cultural Show in Manhattan this past June. He immediately recognized Nina's potential for superstardom. "Nina is a magnificient vocalist, she can dance, and her stage presense wins over the crowd time and time again," Dave proclaimed, a sentiment echoed by all those who have witnessed her impressive performances. Since Nina is only 10 year olds, Dave reached out to her parents, Jeanette and Dennis Mojares of Freehold, New Jersey, who agreed to allow their multi-talented daughter to perform on "The Rhythms of New York".

Nina Sophia Waga Mojares has been delighting audiences, receiving well deserved standing ovations, and encore requests wherever and whenever she performs. Nina has a soft, clean, but yet, powerful voice with a touch of R&B/Pop to it. She has been described a 'mini Alicia Keys' Even at her young age, Nina is already a seasoned entertainer having performed in front of audiences since the age of 3 when her Mom, Jeanette, introduced her to karaoke. If her song is slow or fast she is so energetic and active in her feelings and when she hits the first can hear the "oohs" and "aahs" through the audience already! Entertainment industry executives and television networks have expressed interest in this extremely promising young talent. Proud of her Philippine heritage, Nina is one of the most sought-after performers at Philippine-American events in the tri-state area.
