Music Hawaii has been presenting the Hawaii International Latin
Music Festival in Honolulu, but due to the events of 9-11 we had to postpone it until now!
This years event the 14th Annual Hawaii International Latin-Salsa Music Festival features our headlining guest band from the San Francisco Bay Area; Recording artists: "MYSTIQUE" and Hawaii's premiere Latin-Salsa band and International recording artists; "ROLANDO SANCHEZ & SALSA HAWAII" guest artist "CONJUNTO TROPICAL" and a hot salsa dance showcase by "Hot Salsa Dancing Hawaii" led by Greg Henry. You will be treated to the best of Latin music of all the different styles: SALSA-MERENGUE-CHA CHA-LATIN-JAZZ-CUMBIA-TEX MEX ! we will also have guest appearances by the Mrs. Hawaii 2003, Miss Hawaii 2003, Miss Chinatown 2003, there will be Mexican food, beers, wines and mixed drinks, the tickets are $30 per person 21 and over and that includes 2-drinks of your choice, for all those under 21 tickets are $25 and they will ba available at the door, there will also be T-shirts, CD's, DVD's for sale to the public to buy as gifts for your friends or for yourself, special Festival room rates will be available at the Waikiki Beachcomber ( 808-922-4646) Hotel and at the Ala Moana Hotel (808-955-4811) with purchase of event tickets. Some of our former guest bands in years past have been, "DANILO" from San Francisco, "ORQUESTA SON REINAS" from Japan, "CHEPITO AREAS" from Santana, "ORQUESTA LA PALABRA" from Los Angeles, "TITO PUENTE & HIS ORCHESTRA" from New York, "PETE ESCOVEDO AND HIS ORCHESTRA featuring SHEILA E, PETER & JUAN ESCOVEDO" from California "CARMEN JIMENEZ" from New York, "EMILIA" from Japan, "MARIO SANCHEZ" from San Francisco, and many of the top local latin bands.
