MIAMI, FL. (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - The new album from Florida punk band Against Me! will be called White Crosses, it was announced today.
The band finished tracking the album in Los Angeles with veteran producer Butch Vig this past Saturday. White Crosses is Against Me!'s second album for Sire Records and will be released in 2010.

Against Me! frontman Tom Gabel began writing the songs that will appear on the album more than a year and a half ago. Pre-production with Vig, who also produced the band's 2007 album New Wave, began in early July and the band, which also includes guitarist James Bowman, bassist Andrew Seward, and new drummer George Rebelo (formerly of Hot Water Music), began tracking in mid-August.

Against Me! spent the past two years touring non-stop in support of New Wave, which was released by Sire Records in July 2007. Called 'the most invigorating, zeitgeist-capturing rock album in years' by Spin, New Wave was named the magazine's 'Album of the Year,' and also appeared in the Top 10 on Rolling Stone, Blender, and MTV.com's year-end 'Best Album' lists. New Wave spawned two singles, 'White People For Peace' and 'Thrash Unreal,' which became the band's first single to chart in the U.S. when it climbed to No. 11 on the Modern Rock chart.
