Gillingham, Kent, UK, By Mikey: [email protected]) - Dexy's Midnight Runners are making a comeback; they have had two number ones - Geno and Come On Eileen - way back in the 80s. It seems 80s music is making a big comeback this year, you could say it's the 80s revival, so far we have had Erasure, Soft Cell, Simply Red, Peter Gabriel, Dead Or Alive, even Duran Duran are making a comeback soon with their original line-up, as when they first started off. Other acts to look out for are Human League, Bananarama, and Kim Wilde, should be releasing new material sometime in the near future. I must say, here, now it surely brings memories flooding back, when the chart was very stable in those days and pop music was non-existent at the time. And no one was bickering over sales figures, these days you have to make a good record to reach number one or else the record company dumps you, back than nobody cared.

Maverick Birmingham, UK-based post-punk group that split up in 1987. Led throughout radical personnel and stylistic changes by Kevin Rowland. Transatlantic No.1 'Come On Eileen' was the top selling single of 1982, selling 1,201,000 million sales.
