New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Awesome New Republic is just what the doctor ordered says SPIN.com, who note there's "nothing like some heady tropically-influenced indie rock to shake off that CMJ hangover" while tipping the band as one of the "Best Of CMJ": https://spin.com/gallery/best-pics-cmj-2009?page=10No main.
Celebrate ANR's NYC trip and this week's release of their new album 'Hearts' by downloading their new single from the record. "Last Drop" packs a dynamite sound and can be found at this link for your aural pleasure: https://bit.ly/LastDrop_YouTube. Stream the full album in its entirety this week on AOL Spinner here: https://www.spinner.com/new-releasesNo /7. To get an idea of their serious live chops, check out the photos below for a preview, or click here to see ANR play "Last Drop" live in their Miami studio: https://bit.ly/LastDrop_MP3

Awesome New Republic is the duo of John Hancock and Brian Robertson, joined in the road by drummer Jorge Rubiera. They put their pants on just like the rest of you, one leg at a time. Except, once their pants are on, they turn into a mesmerizing maelstrom of high adrenaline electro-rock laced with infinitely melodic synth pop.

The New York stop comes in the midst coast to coast tour that kicked off with Florida shows, joined by fellow tropical indie phenoms Neon Indian, with upcoming highlights hotspots including Los Angeles Viper Room and Dim Mak's dance party in the coming weeks. See them at the dates below:
