NEW YORK (Capital Records press release) - Chingy didn't call his debut "Jackpot" for nothing. The St. Louis rapper's first album has become a phenomenon, selling more than 156,000 copies its first week in stores and debuting as the #2 album in the country. "Jackpot" has already shipped gold.

The Ludacris protege's smash summer single "Right Thurr" is #1 on Monitor's Rap, R&B Mainstream and Top 40 Rhythmic radio charts. The companion video remains Buzzworthy at MTV, MTV2 and MTV.com and continues to be in Heavy rotation on BET.
In addition, the "Right Thurr" remix video featuring Jermaine Dupri and Trina has been added in Heavy rotation to BET's "Rap City;" rotation begins next week. And he's got it going on live, too: Chingy's performance on WB Network's new music show "Pepsi Smashed" will air July 30.

"Jackpot" is the first release from Ludacris' new marriage between his Disturbing Tha Peace and Capitol Records.
