NEW YORK (E-Squared press release) - Legendary singer/songwriter Steve Earle is set to release a live double album entitled 'Just an american boy - The audio documentary". Clocking in at 94 minutes, the collection contains eighteen live recordings of songs spanning Earle's twenty-five year career as one of American music's most powerful voices, including "Guitar Town", "Copperhead Road", " Jerusalem" as well as on-stage monologues on topics ranging from Steve's hometown to his opposition to the death penalty. 'Just an american boy - The audio documentary" serves as the most comprehensive representation of the live show that UK-based publication The Guardian describes as a "display of how politics plus passion equals the most exciting music". 'Just an american boy - The audio documentary" will also include the first-ever released track by Steve's son, Justin Earle, "Time You Waste". The album is the companion piece to Amos Poe's documentary about Earle, JUST AN AMERICAN BOY. Poe is best known for his work on the legendary punk film "Blank Generation". The film was recently screened at the North by Northeast festival and has been praised by Billboard Magazine and Rolling Stone. This release will mark Steve's fourth album on the E-Squared/Artemis record label. His previous releases are 2000's 'Trancendental Blues', 2002's Sidetracks and most recently, 2003's Jerusalem. Earle is currently wrapping up a nationwide tour with Jackson Browne and Keb' Mo.
