New York (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - Wakefield + Manchester + Portland = melodic punk rock quartet THE CRIBS who celebrate the release of their brand new, critically-embraced Warner Bros. Records album IGNORE THE IGNORANT, with news of a coast-to-coast American tour beginning January, 2010. Following their recently completed blitz upon Los Angeles and New York which included their second barnstorming performance on The Late Show with David Letterman, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVdp5hKSAKo ) THE CRIBS return, stronger, louder and more forceful than ever:

'The Cribs are following a forked path to a great catharsis.' Rolling Stone

'Another pile of consistently great pop songs.' Alternative Press

'Mostly brilliant.they are able to paint outside the lines with the added shadings, nodding to Sonic Youth and The Smiths.' - Spin

'One of the UK's best bands are about to find themselves in an even brighter spotlight.' Nylon

'They are a down-to-Earth, no bullshit kind of group... Likewise, the crowd didn't seem to pay Marr's presence any mind - as they were too busy going mental. I'm a Cribs fan, but I do think this was the best I've seen them since they made the leap from smaller-sized clubs.' BrooklynVegan.Com

At present, THE CRIBS are on a brief stadium tour of Europe with old friends Franz Ferdinand (you'll recall Franz' Alex Kapranos produced THE CRIBS' last album, MEN'S NEEDS, WOMEN'S NEEDS, WHATEVER), followed by an arena headline tour of the UK before heading back to the USA for more chaotic fan frenzy which has become the trademark atmosphere of their live shows around the world. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more engaged audience/band bond from anyone else touring today. Do yourself a favor don't miss THE CRIBS live in 2010. Confirmed dates as follows:
Wed Jan 13 Lincoln Hall Chicago, IL
Thur Jan 14 The Magic Bag Ferndale, MI
Fri Jan 15 Phoenix Theatre Toronto, ONT
Sat Jan 16 Irving Plaza New York, NY

Wed Jan 27 Bimbo's 365 Club San Francisco, CA
Fri Jan 29 Wonder Ballroom Portland, OR

Sun Jan 31 The Venue Vancouver, BC

Support from special guests will be Adam Green and The Dead Trees Jan 13 22. Jemina Pearl will support as special guest from Jan 26 31.
'We Share the Same Skies,' from IGNORE THE IGNORANT, will be the first track and video to hit domestic audio/visual airwaves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DbcAl3EbIs). Until then, you know what to do.
