TORONTO, Canada (David Usher Official Website) - David Usher will release his third solo record Hallucinations, on September 9, 2003. The album is the heir-apparent follow-up to the platinum plus selling Morning Orbit - the most successful solo album of David's career to date.

Morning Orbit brought David's lifetime sales to well over 1.2 million records and its success not only established his reputation as one of Canada's most uniquely talented songwriters, it propelled him to new heights. Songs like "Alone In The Universe" and the inimitable "Black Black Heart", (winner of 2 Much Music Video Awards) became instant successes. Topping Canadian radio and video charts repeatedly, Morning Orbit spent 63 consecutive weeks on the Soundscan Top 200 sales chart and provided multiple hits in countries around the world.

Recorded over four weeks with three different co-producers Hallucinations, showcases a seamless blend of song writing, production, and individual recording styles. Iestyn Polson (David Gray), Mark Makoway (Morning Orbit) and Byron Wong (The Crystal Method) helped David create an album that covers a vast sonic territory.

The powerful collaboration of Iestyn and David is most evident on "I'm Coming Down," (written only days before recording began) and "Hallucinations," the album's title track. Mark Makoway lends his talent for capturing the immediacy of live performance with tracks like "Surfacing" and "Fearless". Byron Wong deftly handles the more ambient tracks - including the contemplative "Devil By My Side" and David's striking cover of The Manic Street Preacher's "Tolerate This".

The first multi format single from Hallucinations, "Time Of Our Lives," mixed in New York by Michael Brauer (Coldplay, Bob Dylan, Fishbone) is already rising up the charts at Canadian radio. In its second full week at radio it was the #1 Most Added Single at All Formats combined, CHR, HOT AC and Canadian. "Time Of Our Lives" was also the #5 Most Added Single at Rock Radio. The video, directed by Kyle Davison (Sam Roberts) is being played at video outlets across the country.

After playing over 190 riveting live dates while touring Morning Orbit, David is ready to head back out on the road in support of Hallucinations. Live dates, exciting launch events and a cross Canada tour will be announced soon.
