LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ New Music Weekly) - New Music Weekly magazine has announced the nominations for the 2009 New Music Awards.
Major label artists Taylor Swift, Lada Gaga and Daughtry set the pace at Top40 and Hot AC along with independents Alyson, Natasha James, Matt Backer & Amanda Morra to name just a few. Dierks Bently, Billy Currington & Darius Rucker top many of the major Country artist nominees, while Mark Chesnut, Sonny Marshall and Christine Van Hoy are among some the Country artists in the independent arena. Labels in Country also found independents Lofton Creek and Big 7 and their artists gaining notable attention. Radio stations, music & program directors, labels and promotion experts are also lauded in this year's nomination process.

Radio programmers, industry executives, fans and friends of artists and bands can help have an impact for the final outcome and may now vote online at www.newmusicweekly.com.

The leading radio/music trade magazine is now preparing its printed nomination issue set for release in several weeks and will be making special discounted rates for the select group of nominees and for independent artists, bands and their labels and they continue to help "level the playing field".
