NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Interscope Records) - Keri Hilson is looking to win the R&B/Soul triple crown following the announcement last night of her Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Earlier this year, Hilson was named Best New Artist at both the BET and Soul Train Awards, and now the extraordinary singer-songwriter is the only R&B/Soul artist among the Best New Artist Grammy nominees. Hilson has also been Grammy nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Knock You Down" with Kanye West and Ne-Yo, a track from her gold-certified debut album In A Perfect World... (Mosley Music Group/Zone 4/Interscope Records).

"In A Perfect World... has made this a perfect year," said Hilson, who co-penned most of the songs on the album and first made a name for herself behind the scenes as a rare female African-American songwriter. "I feel truly honored and blessed to be included alongside so many talented artists."

Produced by Timbaland, Polow Da Don, Danja, and others, In A Perfect World... was released in March and debuted No 4 on the Billboard 200 and No 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The single "Knock You Down" reached No 3 Hot 100 and No 1 R&B/Hip-Hop and won the Soul Train Award for Best Collaboration.; "Turnin' Me On" (featuring Lil Wayne) peaked at No 15 Hot 100 and No 2 R&B/Hip-Hop. The album also helped Hilson earn a pair of nominations from the American Music Awards-Favorite Female Artist (Soul/R&B) and Soul/R&B Breakthrough Artist.

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will be held Sunday, January 31, 2010, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS from 8-11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
