NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ VH1) - Nick Jonas & The Administration will be taking center stage at this year's Critics' Choice Movie Awards as the evening's house band where they will perform classic hits as well a few of their original songs between awards and commercials. Joining Nick are four accomplished musicians who make up The Administration - bassist/producer John Fields and three former members of Prince's New Power Generation including drummer Michael Bland, keyboardist Tommy Barbarella and guitarist Sonny Thompson. The band will make their award show debut at the 15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards hosted by Kristin Chenoweth on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

Earlier this year, Nick and the band spent time in Nashville, Tennessee to record the album. What emerged was "a cross between my roots in R&B and soul with a kind of rock/pop music behind it" described Nick. The album, "Who I Am" will be released on February 2 while their tour kicks off on January 2, 2010 in Dallas, TX.

"We could not be more excited to have Nick Jonas & The Administration on our stage at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards," said Tom Calderone, President, VH1. "We pride ourselves at VH1 on presenting high-energy performances by top artists during our live events. Nick and his band will certainly continue that tradition, revealing another side of Nick that his fans haven't seen yet."

The 15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards gala will air live for the third straight year on VH1. The awards are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) to honor the finest in cinematic achievement. The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) is the largest film critics' organization in the United States and Canada, representing more than 200 television, radio and online critics. BFCA members are the primary source of information for today's film going public. The very first opinion a moviegoer hears about new releases at the multiplex or the art house usually comes from one of its members.

Since its inception in 1995, the Critics' Choice Movie Awards has been a star-studded bellwether event of the movie awards season. The BFCA consistently picks nominees and winners that go on to garner more Academy Award nominations and wins than any other of the movie awards shows. Of the 20 actors and actresses nominated for Oscars in 2009, 19 were first Critics' Choice Awards nominees.

The 15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards, honoring the finest in cinematic achievement among 2009 film releases, announced its nominees on Monday, December 14, 2009. Final ballots will go out to the BFCA members on January 11, 2010 with the deadline for returning final ballots happening on January 13, 2010. The 15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards is executive produced by Bob Bain, Joey Berlin, Jesse Ignjatovic and Lee Rolontz. Paul Flattery serves as producer and Kelly Brock as co-producer.
The 15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards is sponsored by Walmart and WHEAT THINS.
