LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Sony Music Entertainment UK) - The nominations for this years Brit Awards have been announced and Joe McElderry's No1 hit 'The Climb' has been nominated in the 'Best British Single' category! Joe released 'The Climb' following his victory on The XFactor!
In a bizarre twist, Joe's single became a national talking point as it battled for the Christmas Number 1 with American rock band Rage Against The Machine! Although 'The Climb' narrowly missed out on the Christmas top spot many agree it was the most exciting chart race in years! Joe scored his Number 1 with The Climb the following week and sales of 'The Climb' reached a staggering 600,000!
