New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Elvis Costello, whose show "Spectacle: Elvis Costello With..." wraps up its second season on Sundance Channel at the end of January, will tour the U.S. this spring with a variety of line ups. Costello will be playing solo, with his band the Imposters, and with the Sugarcanes, the accomplished musicians who joined him on his Grammy-nominated 2009 album 'Secret, Profane & Sugarcane' (Hear Music).

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will kick off the tour in Davis, CA April 7, playing seven solo dates in the state, and will perform with the Imposters in Atlantic City and Biloxi, MS. He will then travel the East Coast, including Boston, Washington, New York and Atlanta, with the Sugarcanes, who are Jerry Douglas (dobro), Stuart Duncan (fiddle), Mike Compton (mandolin), Jeff Taylor (accordion) and Dennis Crouch (double bass). The Sugarcanes dates will also include JazzFest in New Orleans (April 29) and MerleFest in Wilkesboro, NC (May 1). Costello will also perform solo with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at the end of May.

Produced by T Bone Burnett and recorded by Mike Piersante during a three-day session at Nashville's Sound Emporium Studio, 'Secret, Profane & Sugarcane' debuted at No 13 on the Billboard 200, Costello's highest album chart position since 1980's Get Happy.
