New York (Top40 Charts/ MBA Art & Entertainment) - The Congress of Racial Equality presented its 26th annual event to give tribute to the national holiday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This prestigious event took place in New York City at The Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers. The evening honored three exceptional individuals: Mrs. Tova Leidesdorf, Philanthropist and descendent of William A. Leidesdorf; Honorary Michael S. Steele, Chairman of Republican National Committee; and Honorable James A. Young, Mayor of Philadelphia, Mississippi, followed by an electrifying performance by Lawrence Beamen, finalist of "America's Got Talent."

His show dazzled the crowd and set fire to the stage. His deep caressing voice captivated the audience within seconds and made quite an impression on his listeners. Surrounded by many other brilliant musicians in the room that night, Lawrence Beamen proved his worth and displayed his remarkable abilities with three fabulous songs: National Anthem, Old Man River, and Thinking About You (written/produced by Lawrence Beamen). Currently, Lawrence Beamen is in the studio collaborating and creating a new, urban, adult contemporary album, which is soon to be released. Lawrence Beamen is a rising star: singer/songwriter, producer and actor. Don't miss out on experiencing this splendid talent.
