New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Kevin Lee Official Wesbite) - Midwestern guitar pop aficionado Kevin Lee and his band The Kings will release a six-song EP entitled Dusk Till Dawn to an eager worldwide following. Fans of powerful, hook-filled rock and roll will be familiar with Lee from his major-label years with his former band, The Lonesome City Kings, on the MCA imprint. Since then, Lee has put out a series of well-received albums chock full of Lee's trademark songwriting approach, which is all about big hooks, chunky guitars, and melodies that can't be forgotten. Dusk Till Dawn continues on this path, with six brand-new tunes that are certain to keep Lee fans clamoring for more. Rockers like 'The Other Side' and the radio-ready ballad 'Invisible' show that Lee hasn't lost a step in the songwriting game and, if anything, demonstrate that he has improved his craft in recent years.

Npot everything on Dusk Till Dawn is business as usual, however, with the biggest departure from past records is Lee's use of his road band (bassist Dann Morr, drummer Erik Strommer, and keyboardist Peter Spero) to back him up in the studio rather than the cadre of Chicago session all-stars who Lee has chosen in the past. This gives the songs here a more live feel, the kind that can only come from musicians who have lived with the songs they are recording. Produced by Rick Barnes, whose client list includes The Smashing Pumpkins, George Clinton, and Lucky Boys Confusion, the EP is less about studio magic and more about gutsy, catchy rock songs that capture and keep listeners. The music here will draw the inevitable comparisons to Lenny Kravitz and Cheap Trick, but Lee found his own sound early on and is always much more than the sum of his influences. Lee fans will also want to be on the lookout for a video for 'The Other Side' sometime in 2010.
