New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Tate Publishing) - They call him Mr. Smoothy. Soulful singer Gene Stewart, brother of late 80s pop artist Jermaine Stewart, is releasing his first solo album 'I Can Do All Things,' nationwide this week. A seasoned artist and performer, Stewart's music carries the knowledge and experience of several decades in the industry. The album is a strong mix of R&B, contemporary Christian, and gospel. Pick this one up if you like Sam Cooke or Al Green.

Produced by Tate Music Group, the album, a salute to Stewart's musical idol Sam Cooke, includes 10 original songs. 'I Can Do All Things' is currently available nationwide at the iTunes Store, CDBaby.com, or directly from TateMusicGroup.com.

Born in the buckeye State of Columbus, Ohio, Stewart now lives in the Chicago metro and is the President/CEO and founder of BFG (Bound For Glory) Records. He is also a lead vocalist of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductees, 'The Legendary Soul Stirrers.'

Stewart has performed at countless concert halls, nightclubs, fairs, and special events across the nation. He appeared at The Singletary Center for The Arts in Lexington, Kentucky with legendary gospel artist Dr. Bobby Jones and at the Rupp Arena concert stage in Lexington with Oleta Adams & Michael Bolton. Stewart also performed with the Soul Stirrers at the Apollo Theatre in New York in the stage play, 'The Gospel at Colonus.'

With The Legendary Soul Stirrers, Stewart has performed in The Ultimate Doo-Wop Show at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, The Fox Theatre in Atlanta, and the Beacon Theatre in New York, as well as gracing stages in Rome, Italy, Greece and Austria.
