New York (Top40 Charts/ Jana Peri Official Website) - NYC power pop rocker JANA PERI (www.janaperi.com) has announced the 'I Wanna Rock' UK tour, kicking off March 7. The singer/songwriter/guitarist will play solo acoustic shows, returning to London, Manchester and Liverpool, England, and also make her first appearance in Glasgow, Scotland. PERI will showcase songs from her most recent full-length release, Catching Flies With Vinegar, and her self-titled debut EP, as well as some newer material that is yet to be recorded.

As the lyrics to JANA PERI's 'The La La Song' proclaim, 'I've no denial that I am an anglophile.' She has good reason to feel that way, having been so well received by UK audiences in the past. This winter marks PERI's third UK tour in the last six years. In 2004, PERI shot a music video for 'The La La Song' (a song inspired by her travels in England) while on a solo electric tour of the UK. The highlight of the tour was a performance at Liverpool's legendary Cavern Club that features prominently in the video. PERI returned to the UK for a more extensive tour with her band in 2005 to promote the release of Catching Flies With Vinegar. Raw film footage from that tour (including shots from a live performance at Fibbers in York and of the band carousing at Stonehenge) became the basis for a music video for the closing track, 'I Wanna Rock,' released in June 2009. Both videos can be seen on YouTube.com.

Catching Flies With Vinegar was produced by Daniel Rey, best known for his work with seminal New York punk band, The Ramones. In addition to 'I Wanna Rock,' the CD boasts the track, 'Go Ahead,' which was also included on the 2004 International Pop Overthrow - Volume 7 compilation on power pop and melodic rock label, Not Lame. The album continues to garner glowing reviews from the media. The Village Voice called PERI 'ballsy' and her songs 'effervescent.' NJ's Asbury Park Press said, 'The tracks have a Beatleseque quality, but they also pack a punch reminiscent of Chrissie Hynde's finest moments with the Pretenders' and described PERI as having 'a rock star's aura, something that's on the edge of extinction." Catching Flies With Vinegar is the follow-up to PERI's critically acclaimed, self-titled debut EP, which contained 'The La La Song,' as well as 'Dating Sucks' (the song that ROCKRGRL Magazine chose for the lead track on its Discoveries 2004 compilation).

Last November, PERI's unique sensibility was once again on display with the release of the humorous new song, 'I Hate The Holidays (But I Love Spending Them With You).' Along with the rest of PERI's catalogue, the digital-only single is currently available for download from online retailers such as iTunes.com and CDBaby.com.

10 March Time TBA Pivo Pivo 15 Waterloo Street Glasgow, Scotland
11 March 8:00 PM Night & Day 26 Oldham Street Manchester, England
