New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Basic NYC) - For 2010, Basic NYC is excited to be returning to one of South Beach's most breathtaking outdoor venues, the gorgeous, expansive roofdeck and pool of the Bentley Hotel. The Bentley Hotel quickly became one of the WMC's most talked about locations last year, and we're looking forward to another year of daytime, rooftop pool parties, featuring some of the best underground music from across the dance spectrum. With a 360-degree panoramic view of nearby
Ocean Drive and the beach, the Bentley makes for an ideal WMC party spot.
Basic NYC will be presenting four showcases at the Bentley, from Wednesday March 24th to Saturday March 27th. All parties will be running from 12pm to 9pm, all parties are free, and all of the events will feature headlining, international talent alongside up-and-coming locals. Co-presenting the parties with Basic NYC will be esteemed nightlife movers and shakers from around the world.
Here's what's on tap at the Bentley for WMC 2010
* Wednesday, March 24th kicks off with Change of Pace, a showcase for the underground house labels Smoke City, Soul Fuel and Hudd Traxx. With headliners Pezzner and Jay-J complimenting some of the US and the UK's finest new up-and-coming producers and DJs, this event is going to get the Bentley rocking early.
* It'll be space disco, dub, boogie and classics as DAE Recordings and D24K present the 2010 installment of Do You Wanna Booogie? on Thursday, March 25th. The party features a live appearance by the UK's Crazy P, alongside Chicago's Glenn Underground and broken beat maestro Daz-I-Kue One of the most eclectic events on offer this year at WMC.
* New York's infamous Sullivan Room returns to the roof on Friday, March 26th for it's second annual Bentley Roof party. Again celebrating Olga's birthday, the Sullivan Room brings a roster of its favorite New York DJs and international headliners to South Beach for a daylong showcase. This year's special guests will be The Scumfrog and D:FUSE, two of the Sullivan Room's most beloved veterans.
* For our Saturday's finale, the Rooftop Ruckus returns once again to wrap things up. Hosted by New York's esteemed Global Frequencies and DI.FM's Exposure NYC station, this party features some of New York's regulars, along with the UK's Paolo Mojo and US tech expert Chris Fortier. We couldn't think of a better way to close out this year's events.
There could hardly be a more welcoming venue for WMC revelry than the Bentley Hotel roof. Located at 5th Street and Ocean Drive, the Bentley Hotel rooftop offers plenty of space for lounging and dancing. The rooftop pool is open for party guests to take a dip. And complementing the tunes will be a special menu of sensibly priced drinks and foods, served by the Bentley's own Bellini Italian Bistro, located downstairs. With the beach just a stones throw away from the roof, few spaces will offer quite such a complete South Beach experience.
