At Shea Stadium for the first time
"Over the last 30 years, New York has been central to Bruce's performing career," said Springsteen's manager John Landau.
Springsteen has never previously played the venue. It was last used for a concert in 1992, by Elton John and Eric Clapton.
Other bands who have played at the stadium - which has a capacity of nearly 58,000 - include The Police, The Who and The Clash.
The shows will be the 118th and 119th of the tour, which has played across America as well as across Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
